EARLY CAREER - STYLISTIC INSPIRATION

As a young child, growing up during the Fascist era in Rome, Gino was a keen drawer from a very early age and was inspired by the comic strips in the weekly children's magazine "Corriere dei Piccoli".

His early work, where he experimented with pen and ink in black and white, showed his skill and talent even at a young age.

This illustration depicting Piazza di Spagna, executed by Gino in 1952 at the age of 17, reflected the style seen in comic strips and illustrations of the time.
